This garden was designed to suit the client’s busy lifestyle. They spend half the year abroad so needed a turn-key garden which would need minimal maintenance.

This was achieved by giving them plenty of terrace space to entertain in at the back and using wood within gravel to create interest where the shadow of the house cast it’s fullest shade. A circular paved area again surrounded by gravel planting gave an accent to the end of the garden and softened the space.

The front garden is on the corner of two streets and was the perfect space for something a little different. A curved dry stone wall was built using a local stone and it seems to flow naturally out of the surrounding gravel. Lots of colourful planting will soften the space come the summer and really bring it all alive…photos to come this year…
