This family garden was large and needed to satisfy the requirements of three generations of family.

The back garden was kept simple and geometric and has a large deck catching all the midday sun and a stepping stone path leads through the rectangular lawn with planted beds surrounding. Standing slates form a feature nearest the house.

The front garden provided pathways between the parking area, front door and back garden so needed to be more functional yet still visually interesting. A semi circular lawn is backed by a large planting bed and a tear shaped paving area punctuates the shady lawn beneath the magnolia. A central bench invites you to stop and rest rather than rush through this space.
