This garden was designed to be a formal space that children and adults could enjoy at the same time. The design revolved around a central lawn with a screening of Holm oaks to give added privacy at the back of the garden. This gave a perfect space to hide a small wooden wendy house within the woodland.
The lawn at the centre of the garden was surrounded by a york stone border allowing children to ride around the lawn on bicycles and giving the space a good finish. A play complex was erected at one end of the lawn (this could be removed once the children grow up, returning the lawn to it’s formal purpose).
Deep beds were planted with shade loving perennials, behind a border of clipped box plants, whilst planted urns and a decorative painted seat added a romantic air to the garden.
